Indian delegation at the 27th Regional Heads of Customs Authorities Conference of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Asia Pacific, convened in Hong Kong SAR
Shri Vivek Chaturvedi, Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), led the Indian delegation at the 27th Regional Heads of Customs Authorities Conference of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Asia Pacific, convened in Hong Kong SAR from May 17, 2026.
The conference served as a vital forum for regional customs leaders to address critical challenges and opportunities in cross-border trade operations. The Indian delegation engaged in comprehensive discussions focused on enhancing trade facilitation, strengthening border security, improving enforcement mechanisms, advancing capacity building, and fostering systemic resilience against future disruptions.
On the sidelines of the conference, Indian side led by Chairman CBIC held bilateral meetings with counterparts from Fiji, Japan and New Zealand advancing further regional cooperation.
