With effect from January 23, 2017, the Immigration Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government has made Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) a compulsory requirement for all Indian nationals who intend to visit Hong Kong visa-free for 14 days. The online platform for pre-arrival registration has been opened on December 19, 2016. Please also refer to Guidance Notes issued by the HKSAR Immigration Department at https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/forms/forms/id-e-1023.html before submitting your applications.

2.      In case of unsuccessful PAR, applicant may submit an application for appropriate category of visa directly to the Immigration Department of the HKSAR as per the details available at https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/index.html

3.      The Consulate General of India, Hong Kong has no role in issuance of PAR/ HK visa process as it is sole prerogative of HK Immigration Department of the HKSAR. For detailed information and latest guidelines please visit https://www.immd.gov.hk .

4.      All Indian nationals transiting through Hong Kong may note that they will not be able to leave Hong Kong airport to enter into city without a valid Hong Kong PAR/visa. 

5.      There are some Covid-19 related restrictions in place for all international arrivals and transit passengers at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and same may keep changing time to time. 6.         All Indian nationals who are travelling to (visiting or transiting through) Hong Kong are hereby advised to ensure that they do not carry any prohibited items/ articles/ goods as defined by Civil Aviation Department of HKSAR in their check-in or carry-on luggage.
